Our Heritage & Philosophy

Transforming Our Story With The Community

Jains are globally recognized for their commitment to Ahimsa (Non-Violence), their spirit of philanthropy, and their achievements across all professional fields. It is from this bedrock of values that Shree Jain Sahayak Samiti was born.

Established on November 20, 2011, our organization was initiated by 21 visionary Trustees united by a singular, burning passion: To Serve the Community.

Vision

To create a society where humanity is served beyond all barriers of caste, creed, or religion, fostering unity, inclusivity, and lasting positive change for all.

The Inspiration Behind the Mission

Founding Visionary & Pillar of Service

Shri TARACHAND SANKLECHA

The spirit of our Samiti is deeply influenced by the life and principles of Shri J. Tarachand Sanklecha. Born in Jaitaran, Rajasthan, and educated in Bilara, he arrived in Chennai in 1963 with a vision for the future.

~ A Legacy of Trust:
After founding J. Tarachand & Co. in 1970, he travelled extensively across South India, building a reputation not just as a Tax Practitioner but as a trusted guide. Known affectionately as “Vakeel Saheb,” he offered his counsel to anyone in need, regardless of whether they were a client.

~ Nation Building:
He firmly believed that filing honest returns and paying taxes on time was a direct service to the nation.

~ A Simple Belief:
His life’s work was guided by the conviction that
“Service to Humanity is Service to God.” This belief remains the heartbeat of Shree Jain Sahayak Samiti today.

Our journey began with Project Aarthik Upahaar, a project designed to provide more than just financial aid, it provides a sense of belonging.

Holistic Care:

Beyond monthly monetary support, we provide families with groceries, clothing, household utilities, and festival essentials.

Spiritual Enrichment:

We organize pilgrimages to major Jain Temples around Chennai, ensuring our beneficiaries can connect with their faith comfortably and joyfully.

Continuous Growth:

As new needs emerge, so do our projects. From travel necessities to bed accessories, we ensure that every occasion is a reason for our beneficiaries to celebrate.

With the guidance of our philanthropists and the unwavering support of our motivated patrons, we are constantly sharpening our efforts. We do not just look back at what has been achieved; we look forward with a desire to serve more, reach further, and touch more lives.
“United in Service, Rooted in Values.”

Serving as a vital caretaker for this Trust under the guidance of Vardhman Tapasvi Shri Dalpath Bhai Bothra, we support numerous Gaushalas across India, scholarship programs, and healthcare infrastructure. A core achievement is the Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Gaushala at Jaitaran, which provides a sanctuary for hundreds of cows, goats, and birds.

Dedicated to preserving family sanctity, this initiative provides personalized mediation to resolve marital friction and prevent divorces. By addressing misunderstandings through compassionate dialogue with couples and their families, the program has successfully reunited over 350+ couples, helping them restore happy, bonded lives.

As a founder Trustee, he helped transform the Pana Party Trust from a social group into a vital medical lifeline for Jaitaran and its surrounding remote villages. Recognizing the lack of affordable healthcare, the Trust launched free eye check-up camps and cataract surgeries, eventually establishing the Seth Shri Ratanchand Kanhaiyalal Ranka Eye Hospital. Today, the hospital continues to serve the needy on a massive scale, providing free and subsidized vision correction and surgeries daily.

Since 2011, as Founder Trustee and President, he has led flagship welfare projects, including monthly financial aid for seniors, widows, and the differently-abled. The Samiti also strengthens community bonds by publishing a bi-monthly magazine reaching 3,000 families nationwide, alongside supporting the educational and medical needs of families from Rajasthan through newly formed regional Sanghs.

As Chairman for several years, he was instrumental in developing the Jain Temple, Upashray, Bhojanshala, Dharamshala, and school. He also championed the vision for a student hostel and a dedicated community hall for religious and social gatherings.

Served as President for two years, overseeing the temple’s growth and spiritual activities.

Served as Secretary for Chennai’s largest Jain organization, successfully uniting the diverse sects and beliefs of the Jain community.
